This 17th Century town house in a famous medieval
street in the heart of the old town, has played host to
many artists and writers and today guests are welcome to escape the rush of modern life. Enjoy a drink in the book lined bar or by the fire in the parlour before retiring to one of the stylishly restored bedrooms, some with four-poster beds and roll top baths. Built in 1860 and surrounded by orchards on the edge
of Icklesham, close to Rye, Winchelsea and Battle,
Manor Farm Oast is ideal for quiet, romantic breaks.
The oast house has been sympathetically converted
to keep the original features, one of the bedrooms is
round in one of the towers. Your host, Kate, provides
a friendly, warm welcome and a full traditional Sussex
breakfast with Kate’s own home made sausages or a
healthier alternative is available. A five-course dinner can be booked on a Friday and Saturday night and sustainability is a high priority when sourcing food. Winners of the 1066 Enterprise Small Business of the Year ‘09.

is as it was some 270 years ago, internally it has been
